July 22nd, 2026 Company updates
In our first edition of Meet GameArt, we sit down with Mojca Zemljarič, Product Owner at GameArt, to discuss how we bring games to life.
Behind every great game are the people who bring it to life.
Today, we're launching Meet GameArt – a new series introducing the talented people behind our games, sharing their stories, creative processes, and the countless details that shape every player experience.
In our first edition, we meet Mojca Zemljarič, Product Owner & Game Producer, whose work helped bring Backstreet Mayhem to life – recently recognised as Best New Slot by AskGamblers.
I'm a Product Owner and Game Producer, so my days usually start and end with games – there's always a project at a different stage of development. One day I'm brainstorming a new concept, the next I'm reviewing art, discussing mechanics with the mathematicians, polishing the player experience, or working with QA before launch.
My role is to help keep everyone moving in the same direction so that, together, we create games that players genuinely enjoy.
Every game has its own story long before players ever see it. There are ideas that almost didn't make it, mechanics that went through countless iterations, compromises, challenges, and little victories that only the team knows about. That's why it's hard to pick just one.
I'm especially proud of the games we've released this year because we've focused on creating experiences that feel fresh, polished, and genuinely fun to play.
Backstreet Mayhem is one of the highlights for me – not just because it was voted Best New Slot at the AskGamblers Awards 2026, but because it reflects everything we set out to achieve as a team. Seeing that vision resonate with players and the industry alike has been incredibly rewarding.
Stories. I've always loved stories, and that's where every game starts for me. Before I think about mechanics or symbols, I ask myself: What story are we trying to tell? What should the player feel?
Sometimes all it takes is a single image or idea, and suddenly an entire game starts forming in my head – the theme, the mechanics, even the atmosphere. Watching that initial spark grow into a finished game is still my favourite part of the job.
That's like asking someone to pick a favourite pet. 😊 Every game has a special place because I know everything that went into creating it. But if I had to choose, I'd probably say Legends of the Wild Moon. I love nature, animals, and fantasy, so that world feels especially close to me.
Definitely Fortunelle from Fortune Maiden. She's fierce, loyal, and has a sword that's bigger than she is. I'd sleep peacefully knowing she was guarding my house. She's basically the definition of "looks beautiful, fights terrifying."
Polish. Tiny animation tweaks, sound timing, transitions, the way UI responds – most players won't consciously notice those details, but they'll absolutely notice how the game feels because of them. Those little touches are often what turn a good game into a memorable one.
